Dear Friends and Neighbors,
Thank you for honoring me with the responsibility of representing Eden Prairie, District 42B, in the Minnesota State House of Representatives for the next two years.
Doug and I are very thankful to have had such amazing support throughout this campaign. Whether you have been with us since January when I made the decision to run or just joined the team in the past few weeks, your tireless efforts and support have given me the opportunity to represent you and your families at the State Capitol -- the greatest honor of my life.
We have been blessed with a volunteer network that rivals any in the State. The arduous hours you have spent door knocking, making calls, delivering yard signs, and encouraging your friends and neighbors to get to the polls made all the difference in this campaign. And the most important task of all -- casting your vote -- is what is sending me to St. Paul to fight for you!
When the legislative session begins on January 6, 2009, I will continue to do what I have said I would do. I will work to get our economy moving again by encouraging job creation that comes from successful small businesses. I will require government to live within its means—just like Eden Prairie families do every day. I will strive for excellence and results-oriented accountability in the education of our children, ensuring they are all prepared to succeed in a global economy. I will work to make government more efficient and effective, crafting innovative solutions to problems, rather than creating more government and bloated bureaucracies. You can count on me to be straightforward about what I stand for, and to cast my vote for what I believe to be right, and truly reflective of the community I represent.
As you know, we are facing uncertain times and significant challenges. With your encouragement, I am prepared to take on these challenges, and value the trust you have placed in my ability to address your concerns.
